HEARTH at Benet Woods

MISSION
HEARTH at Benet Woods’ Mission is to extend HEARTH’s continuum of care, by empowering working individuals and families of modest incomes to become engaged and invested in a local community through the development of permanent affordable rental housing.

The first development will be known as HEARTH at Benet Woods, a partnership between HEARTH and Trek.

HEARTH at Benet Woods… An investment in families

HEARTH at Benet Woods:

  • is an ambitious new $2.8 million development that will provide attractive, permanent, affordable rental housing below market rates for working individuals and families
    who earn incomes in the approximate range of  $25,000-$38,000
  • is the first permanent affordable family housing development in Northern Allegheny County
  • will be built on Rodenbaugh Road on land adjacent to HEARTH’s Benedictine Place in Ross Township
  • will feature 11 two- and three-bedroom duplexes, 2 of which will be handicap accessible, and a community center

An investment in the community

HEARTH at Benet Woods offers the opportunity for:

  • families to succeed and grow financially Benedictine Place
  • families to remain in the same community
  • children to receive a quality education in a reputable school district
  • its residents to become engaged in a community as invested citizens, voters and taxpayers
  • families and individuals to live in a safe, attractive, convenient location near transportation and shopping
  • the neighborhood to utilize the amenities that will be created on the property
  • the community to benefit from the additional revenue generated by the property taxes

  • Invite a HEARTH representative to speak to your civic clubs, school and church organizations, professional groups and other venues to learn about HEARTH and its programs.
  • Give or secure donations and in-kind contributions to help make affordable housing a reality now and in the years to come.
  • Join in volunteer opportunities for individuals, teens and families.
