State Farm Volunteers for HEARTH through Hands on Pittsburgh

On Friday, May 14th, State Farm volunteers spent their morning and part of their afternoon painting an apartment here at Benedictine Place. Hands on Pittsburgh was a two day event (5/14 & 5/15) through Pittsburgh Cares, celebrating the value and importance of volunteers and their impact on the community. HEARTH was lucky enough to have State Farm come to Benedictine Place for the second year in a row. HEARTH would like to thank State Farm and Pittsburgh Cares.

“Spring Cleaning” for HEARTH

This was their first visit to HEARTH. The girls tackled cleaning the long hallways, stairway, clothing pantry and the food pantry. They spent their morning scrubbing, vacuuming and reorganizing allowing for the freshness of spring to come into Benedictine Place. HEARTH appreciates the ladies of Chatham University all their hard work.
